I know somebody who has both knees replaced and they set off the metal detectors every single time lol. Sometimes when they wand the area, they'll just ask if they had knee replacements. Other times they actually want to see the scars to make sure lol.

I just went on planes end of July and mine didn't set it off lol. They asked me if I had anything though so I obviously said yes so that might have been why
