If you would have told me 5 years ago that this is how the team would function, I would have lost it and just ignored the bait attempt. I'm still much more in favor of these issues occurring now than at the middle and end of the season. Whereas the ugly drop monster didn't really rear it's ugly head until after the bye last year.

I'd be a lot more comfortable with it if they weren't the same issues as last season.

Fix some, ignore others it seems. Keep in mind how vulnerable we were to the run last season, especially the opener against the Bears... 189 yards... not a good way to start the year. Defense and ball control will continue to be the gameplan which is completely undone by the fact we can't capitalize in the red zone. Schedule is tough for October as well. Even the Bears game which should be a nice win is on a short week. Heading into ATL will be a daunting task as well

I think the key to opening up the offense is lacy... get them stacking the box again and it opens up the quick hitters where our receivers know how to get yards after the catch (jordy and cobb for sure). Then that opens up double moves and the long ball.
This offense should run through lacy without a doubt...it slows a pass rush and creates play action and screen opportunities. I dont know why he isn't seeing 15+ touches a game...maybe thats the plan for later in the season to keep him fresh and healthy.

I feel spoiled to even be complaining about it, but we all know Rodgers has to pick it up for this team to go anywhere.

October is definitely interesting. Middle of a long homestand. At least going to Atlanta is on long rest.

Lacygod was limited and Starks sat out. Time to force McCarthy's hand and actually try a new approach on offense. God help me if he fucking puts Cobb in the backfield again another 5-10 times

Totally agreed - we definitely need to put TyMont in there for at least 5 instead. Works really well for us

Perry has been disruptive and a huge part of why our defense is doing so well thus far. This graphic blew my mind. Keep in mind, these are just the tackles, not counting all the plays he's setting up just by being in the backfield. #ContractYear

Can we pretend it has nothing to do with his contract year and he just finally gets it?
