Poor mans Fowler

Well, without putting my homer glasses on (they're in the other room atm and I really don't feel like getting up to put them on B) ), Fowler is far more ready to start from day 1 and should be a 6-10 sacks per year guy, at the least.

Beastley has the ability to be that 14+ sacks per year guy, but he needs some time to develop. Hes only got one move, and while his one move is great, you aren't going to simply win with speed every time in the NFL. Hes got to develop a 2nd inside move and he has to develop transferring his speed into power better.

"I'm a hard-working guy, a determined guy, a double-digit sack guy and a team leader," Beasley said. "... I'm a double-digit sack guy, and I think I'm going to be able to do that my first year.

I also just made this sig..

Of course he'd say that and he absolutely should. He definitely has the ability without a doubt, it's just a matter of him holding up physically to the NFL game, every down.

I say use him as a situational pass rusher his first year or two because I believe that's where you'll get the most out of him early from day 1. Keep him fresh, let him do what he does by getting after the passer. Don't let him get beat up and wore down by having him out on the field a shit load. Let him mainly focus on doing what he does best his first year and that's attacking the QB.

Please, Please sum Fowler sig like that

? I'm loving the picks, especially since Duke was taken right after us.
Collins was questionable, but I think that was more Quinn than Dimitroff.
Looks like Alford in slot, or one of these guys moves to S.

With what was on the board I don't care for it.

I would have much rather had Fisher, Kendricks, or Gregory... we all know how atrocious our oline was, so Fisher would have probably been the best option.

We have two capable corners already (a pass rush would help them out moreso)... but if we were going CB, I like Rowe better (who went #15 in the second)

As for RB... I think Smith/Freeman are fine at RB as we have more pressing needs imo... can't run the ball with no lineman.

Idk.. I am not saying they are going to be shitty players, I just think we had bigger needs to address that weren't addressed. We are in for another year with a shitty oline and no run game.

Falcons:
Day 1 grade: A-
Day 2 grade: B+
Day 3 grade: A-
Overall grade: A
The skinny: Hard to find a better convergence of team need and good player than the Falcons' pick of Beasley, who was a great draft value at pick No. 8.
Time will tell if they regret passing on local star Todd Gurley, but this is just the kind of player new coach Dan Quinn could develop into a star.
Collins has first-round talent, but there are questions about his production in college and off-the-field issues. He's a high-upside pick in the second.
Coleman is a steal at the 73rd pick and could be a star early on for the team as a home-run threat.
Hardy will be on the same page with Matt Ryan early and Jarett falling in the team's lap in the fifth round is remarkable luck.

e: We also have the "easiest" strength of schedule next year. EXCITED can't wait

Pretty soon, we may just be calling the Falcons the Atlanta Seahawks.

There have been plenty of rumors about Seahawks DE Michael Bennett being traded to the Falcons, but he’s not the only former Dan Quinn player looking to make a move down South.

According to Black Sports Online, Seahawks DE Bruce Irvin might as well have already signed a contract in Atlanta.

“I’m going to be in Atlanta next season. I’m ready,” Irvin said. “Atlanta is where I want to be. Believe that.”

Go ahead and send Sherman and Kam Chancellor over as well. Thanks!
