Also disappointed in these Edelman and Sanders rumors @ WR. I really don't like either one. Edelman is a system WR imo, and he was asking 5mil/year. Sanders is just a guy, nothing special about him. Of the FA WRs, a released Steve Smith would be my first choice, followed by Nicks on a 1-year deal.
Our big splash in FA is probably done /w Monroe and Pitta re-signed. We'll probably bring back Smith once the prices fall (Jackson and Dansby kind of jacked up the ILB price), but other than that, probably won't make any big moves like making an offer on Mack, as I've heard some speculate.
What about that Terp TE we had @practice squad last season, no chance that he'd be called up?
Also, i agree on Edelman, don't want him .. I have no idea why, but i kinda like Sanders, but that's probably just some fantasy about picking up a former Steeler and making him punish them twice a year.
Nicks has been sort of a 'dream' pick up for me from the start, i know he's had a bad period at the Giants, but i still believe that he could turn it around if he joined us.
Besides that, i'd like to see us extend Torrey and Jimmy before this season starts, so we won't end up having to resign both of them next offseason.
.. I heard somewhere that we had an option for an extra year in Jimmys contract, don't know if that's true tho.
