I thought they finally had a franchise guy they could build around and become competitive with and for whatever reason, either he didn't fit the bill or they never had a steady coaching staff around him but he got run out of town. I have full faith that Freeman will have success somewhere else and the crop of QBs they have now suck dick. They must be planning on tanking the season and either letting Schiano take his stab at a franchise QB or firing him later and bringing in a new coach to use their high draft pick on a new potential guy.
I'll say one thing here, I will be quite upset if they somehow end up using a really high pick on Johnny Manziel....
As for the rest of this season -- fuck it.
I'll be watching this team for their defense, I wanna see how Revis comes along, I wanna see them get their big hits in the secondary, want to see if they can develop better pass rush, etc., etc. I'm not expecting dick from the QB slot, which is a shame for Jackson and Williams but what are you gonna do, and I feel like Martin will suffer because teams will stack their defense against the rush because Big Bird can't do shit in the air.
I will also admit I am hugely biased; Freeman was my favorite player and wanted it to be 2010 again for years lol.
I liked Freeman, but I havn't got a clue how he became your favourite player doing next to nothing for 5 years. He cost us more wins than losses, he has had lots of accuracy issues and turnover problems.
Glennon is the future - I would be shocked if we drafted another QB next year (other than a clear #2)
Oh, and Mark Dominik finally released a statement - more of a sentence tbh lol
