I've never even used CMS. Is this actually true?
Every paper I've ever written at UMD was APA.
well, MLA is pretty much only useful for research papers in a humanities class or something.
APA is what you'd use for a research paper in a science or w/e
AP style is obv for a news reporter or journalist
i mean, these style guides are pretty useful and useless at the same time - the CMS is just a fully comprehensive style guide.
i don't think telling a job that you're familiar with CMS would get you a job, but they're probably not going to give a shit if you're familiar with MLA
i guess it really depends on what you're looking to do for employment - they're just "style" guides
