I forget that we should take stock in what players can do without pads in camp and without actual coverage in practice. Be real for a moment and let the delusion slip away

11 on 11 drills with our dbs isn't legitimate to you? Because I'd wager to say we have a top five nickel secondary in the game.

Also, if you can't run routes in pads, it's likely you're not doing it without pads.

I don't see how that helps your argument at all, but I also don't really care to continue arguing about something so pointless. Obviously a huge JA84 fan and I would love to see it all come together for him, but it seems a bit far-fetched at this point barring massive injuries. So happy to have such depth across the team now. Just need the front 7 to emerge and make an impact. Big year for a lot of players like Perry, Jones and friends up front.

JA84 has produced on the game field just as much as janis, he just doesnt have the hail marys to boot.
Take away Janis's hail mary plays which are a gimmick and stupid luck and compare his stats with JA84's during the games they played. I'd rather have a guy I can go to 10 times a game for 10 yards a piece than 2 times a game when he runs a fly to maybe get 50.

Then you look at JA84's spectacular practices and its impossible to not put him above janis on the depth chart...that and if arod likes him enough to publicly endorse him, maybe you should listen.

But Janis is an absolutely freak on special teams...and I cant take that away from him, plus i do agree that he has insane measurables.

At the end of the day, Janis was 3rd on the depth chart before his injury. You can watch as many practices and homer as much as you like, but the coaches and front office make the decisions. I highly doubt that you seeing the tiny sample size that you have are in a position to make a judgement call. That being said, if Janis goes on IR, the door is open and the roster spot is his to lose. Kid has been a stud and I loved watching him as a Badger. Talent is there and if he's as consistent as you're both saying, he'll be in the 5 or 6 that we take into the beginning of the season.

Do you think maybe rushing to judge guys based off their stats that total 30 targets isn't a good idea?

The NFL is threatening to suspend Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers beginning on August 26th if they don't agree to be interviewed regarding the Al Jazeera PED allegations. Or in other words, "you are presumed innocent until proven otherwise, but we're gonna go ahead and suspend you anyways if you don't give us what we want."

Wouldnt that put janis and ab84 in the same category as far as judgement goes? So how could you put janis clear over abberdaris from that point of view?
And while I will agree with you that we are both rushing to judgement...abberdaris, in college, made plenty of now NFL cornerbacks look absolutely silly with far less of a quarterback.

Personal Conduct Policy - "We can suspend you for whatever we want if it makes us look bad."

My point was simply that using stats for guys that have a combined 30 career targets (not counting playoffs) is useless. It's all speculation based on eye tests and rumblings.

Fair enough, quite frankly I hope they both make the team...and if somehow possible keep 7 WR's

Nelson, Cobb, Adams, TyMont, AB84, Janis, Davis...and i like that geronimo kid (catches everything)

Oh holy shit... Drop everything about the WRs for a second.

Matthews and Peppers are facing an indefinite suspension for this. They will be suspended on 8/26 and not allowed to return until they give the interview. Once they do, Goodell will be the one to decide if they're reinstated.

They're gonna get crucified for this.
