“(Brady) was excellent, of course. He didn’t do anything wrong,” Kellerman said. “But a lot of guys could’ve thrown to receivers –– every receiver was open by like 10 yards. He threw it to zero tight windows. He faced zero pressure. Tom Brady was dead last against the blitz this year. In the NFL among starting quarterbacks, he was last against the blitz. So what did Anthony Lynn scheme up on the other side? No blitzing, no pressure at all. (Brady) just picked apart the zone, and they never made an adjustment.”
bahahah
It's true though. It felt like the chargers beat themselves in that regard, especially after the previous week where they wreaked havoc on poor Lamar. That's the main reason I was terrified of both LAC and BAL, Brady has been fucking awful when being pressured (didn't realize he was "dead last" though, that's crazy) and I thought for sure both teams would be putting the hurt on him. KC's defense isn't nearly as bad when we played them in the beginning of the year, they're fast enough to bring pressure and their offense is a tier above LA. Brady is going to need to be damn near perfect, or we're going to have to hope Mahomes has a few rough quarters, like he did against us last time.
I'm excited. I'm still fucking livid about the loss to Miami and that travesty of a game (if you can even call it a fucking game) against Pittsburgh where we got fucked on literally every single positive play we had in the second half. Just fucking one of those wins and we play at home, where I'd give us the slight edge. I'm amazed we're only 3 point underdogs in Arrowhead, thought for sure it'd be 5-7.
