Everyone uses the Tim Tebow example. Always with the extremes.
Tebow isn't a good passer, but he's a good leader. He's done far more for the Broncos than Kyle Orton -the statistically better quarterback, might I add- ever did. Not to mention, people don't realize how sharp Tebow is... he led the Gators to the BCS Championship game twice and won both of them. Not enough? He won the Heisman Trophy. Something that most of the other QBs don't even get balloted for.
That said however, comparisons to Russell Wilson aren't the same. Russell isn't that great a passer, it's not like he has a cannon for an arm, but he KNOWS how to play the game. He knows what's important and he knows how to Fran Tarkenton his way to a win if need be.
A better example is Joe Montana. He isn't like Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre. He isn't in the record books like they are... but people look at him as one of the best QBs in the game, because he knows how to win.
After all, that's the only "number" that matters.
He's a game manager with a good defense lmao
