We took a big step back this year :(

It's hard to argue that, but is it really as big as it looked?
I mean there were 4 games we should of lost last year... we had amazing comebacks in the fourth quarter.
Now... the past four weeks (not including this past week) we should of won those games and we let them go.

Yes, obviously it is a step back to lose the last four games. Those games were ours and we let them go. However, as nice as last year was, you can't base a team on spectacular games like that.
I think it is hard to say where the lions are right now. Are they a 4-9 team, no. We are better than that. Were they a 10-6 team last year? I don't know, I think that is hard to say too. We still have a ways to go, but it is coming together. I think it's a lot closer than people think.

I have said before, they show flashes of greatness, I mean if a guy actually watches every game, you see them do things that are just amazing things. A lot of our trouble starts with discipline. We are in decent position and we commit a stupid penalty. Some of it are the rookies we have been forced to start due to injury and asshead itis Titus, but even veterans screw us like Raiolas stupid hike that cost us the game,or False starting on 3rd down, etc. Special teams play has to improve on both side of the ball, its a weakness that has changed games and put the momentum against us. Mainly we have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. We have lost a bunch of close games that we could have or should have won. We have basically made a game of it every time, we just cant close the deal. If the offense is playing good, the defense is killing us, and vise versa. I believe we could have made the playoffs again this year had we simply been a more disciplined team and not committed penalties at crucial moments in games, or just plain failed on kickoff coverage and letting the other team score 2 tds a game on us. We also should have been using our tight ends more, Heller is a fucking beast and barely gets a ball thrown to him, same with tony, he could be used more. If they want to double and triple calvin on the outside make em pay in the middle of the field, it's not rocket science, and we actually have a pair of running backs in bell and leshoure that can make a team be honest and have to be ready for run every play.

I agree with you 100%. If you actually look at every single game this season--we could have won every game had we not committed borderline (i have down syndrome) penalties/mistakes. Of all the years--this year has been the hardest to watch. It'll be interesting to see what we address in this years draft. I look for Ryan Broyles to be a standout receiver(wes welkerish beside of Calvin) next year. I'll admit I've had high hopes for the Lions every year--but next year--they will have everything. and yes Bell has essentially replaced Best.

Well hopefully these young guys can learn sumthing from losing. all the vets then been through the grind imma give them the benefit of the doubt, but whos detroit rookie of the year atm? ... Up until Hanson misssed that fg in GB, i was pullin for him to be in the ProBowl 20 year vet. Now prolly not..Detroit cant afford to bring him back, he hardly gets touchbacks. Id rather have touchbacks on this special teams then kicking to the 1-10 yardline everytime, specialteams cant tackle. These are the young guys again.. and a few good vets, *cough*osgood* where is he at wideout anyways? just my opinions. Coaches need to get something figured out in how to win. Enough close games is enough im sick of it. Good record or bad record, lions have gave alot of games away, or kept em close.
Finish strong. and Revamp well please for Detroit formerplayers/fans/city in general.

Really? Jason Hanson has been with us for 20+ years and you think we are going to let him go?

He'll retire on the Lions' roster.

Agreed, he will retire, if they try to trade him, i'm almost sure of that, but hes been the only bright spot, a few years, as far as always having a stud at that position.

Thats not a betting locked scammer tag dude, it's a damn jsp mod lock, you have to have gotten a jsp notifier message or something didn't you? Was this from a scamming accusation.
