I still expect a few more cuts that will help clear a little more cap space. Jacoby Jones for example, would save the Texans roughly $3 million in cap space for this year, but then they would have to tack on some dead money for their 2013 payroll. He's entering the second year of a 3-year $10.5 million contract.
I have full confidence in a healthy and determined Lestar Jean overtaking Jones' spot on the depth chart, and if the plan is to draft another speedy wideout in the first round that can also return punts (Kendall Wright), then I don't see the reason to keep Jacoby Jones at that price. As long as Houston has enough money to sign all of their draft picks and bring in a free agent quarterback who has experience.
