Best time to do draft?

Week 4 of preseason? Earlier?

Anytime after preseason for potential injuries

Players get hurt during training camp or training in general far more often then preseason games themselves.

With that being said, it’s still recommended to have drafts as close as possible to the start of the season.

Regular season begins Thursday Sept 8th. But I’d say the window for drafting really begins around the weekend of August 20th.

Cashing in all my fantasy assets for a Championship this year. Traded picks and keepers I’ve accumulated. Here is my team so far before drafting

Joe Burrow (12th rd pick keeper)
DeShaun Watson (16th rd pick keeper)
Diontae Johnson (6th rd pick keeper)
Alvin Kamara (trading 2023 2nd rd pick for rights)
Tyreek Hill (trading 2023 3rd rd pick and 10th rd pick for rights)
Nick Chubb (trading 2023 4th rd pick and 11th rd pick for rights)

My league is PPR 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 2 Flex rb/wr/te

How would you approach filling out this roster? I’m willing to take more risks on players like Watson and Hopkins for their potential. I want to target Kelce with my first rd pick and get Kareem Hunt even if I have to reach a bit for Chubb insurance.

Note: a lot of the elite players will be gone by other players keeping them before the draft begins. I’ll post a list of players I can target in the first few rounds later to follow up on this

Definitely get a TE early since you have the rest of your starting lineup almost filled. Look for someone like Higgins to combo with burrow mid draft.
Yeah list the players that’ll be available, like the top 20

These are the top 20 players available after accounting for all of the keepers that will be missing.

Travis Kelce, Davante Adams, Najee Harris, Joe Mixon, Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, Deebo Samuel, Mike Evans, AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, DK Metcalf, Justin Herbert, Mark Andrews, Kyle Pitts, George Kittle, Darren Waller, Jaylen Waddle, Javonte Williams, Leonard Fournette, and James Conner

This is based on ADP from PPR mock drafts.

From this list my first round desired pick is in order of: Travis Kelce, Najee Harris, Davante Adams, Joe Mixon, Saquon Barkley, and Aaron Jones

The way I see it, if I get a top pick and Kelce is there its a no brainer. Take Kelce then take BPA in the 2nd rd

Nice a lot of talent there & all TEs lol you’re starting lineup will be loaded
You know draft order or is it randomized?
Kelce and Williams or adams and kittle would be a reasonable first 2 rounds

If you know draft order you can get an idea of who the people in front of you may be targeting

Nice I like the way you think, that's a good plan

Draft order is randomized on day of the draft, helps keep some suspense
