Our defense showed up in second half but what happened in the first?

I haven't been impressed with Russell's play so far either.

This happened with our defense last season which I wasn't happy about (Falcons game was a prime example).

Russell is doing okay but as I've stated, banged up oline making him move out of the pocket alot and he doesn't have a lot of time.

Our defense wasnt getting much pressure on Schaub in the first half, coverage was pretty good for the most part but Schaub had all day to throw, and our oline was desimated in the pass protection on offense all game long but we did have some nice running in the first half we just couldnt get the pass going,
and wilson had to work his magic on an important drive where we actually scored a TD. Then houston had the ball and we stopped them, we got the ball, and had to punt it, then houston had it again and then thats when
sherm got the pick 6. Then we stopped houston again with 2 minutes and 30 seconds left, then it went into overtime.

Looked like the Texans were moving the ball so easily with our def in the first two quarters.

Now the second half is a whole different matter but what I'm saying is that I don't know why it takes for us that long to get it going.
