You can't replace DeMeco Ryans' leadership but you can draft another talented linebacker from Alabama. Hightower is slightly bigger and looks just as athletic as Ryans was coming out of Alabama back in 2006. They're nearly identical projection wise in the draft. Ryans was the first pick in the second round (33rd overall), and Hightower will likely be a late first rounder (24 to 32 range).

The Texans pre-season opponents. The NFL will announce the dates and times for all the pre-season games later this month.

Game 1: Texans at Panthers
Game 2: Texans vs. 49ers
Game 3: Texans at Saints
Game 4: Texans vs. Vikings

3rd pre-season game: August 25, 2012: Houston at New Orleans: 8 PM Eastern on CBS

The only known date and time right now is that nationally televised game against the Saints. The starters will play into the second half.

We have four top 100 picks, we need to make it count and hopefully we'll get starters to replace Winston, Ryans, Brisiel, and Williams(a third OLB).

Lestar Jean working out a few days ago at Reliant Park. He's getting back to 100 %. This guy has a good chance to make the team this year.

6'3, 215 with his great hands and quickness. If he didn't go down with that season-ending injury last preseason I think he would have made a big impact. The Texans wouldn't have signed Bryant Johnson or traded for Derrick Mason. Probably wouldn't even feel like they have a big need at wide receiver entering the draft.

I'm excited to see this guy put it together in 2012. He's going to be better than Jacoby Jones. Maybe that's not saying much, LOL

I hope so, him and Kendall Wright would be nice. Better than Kevin Walter and Jacoby Jones.
