Time to unleash #88 Garrett Graham

I think this means Garrett Graham out of Wisconsin (4th round pick in 2010) will have his chance to step up as the new backup tight end. Gary Kubiak compared him a lot to Owen Daniels coming out of college and Daniels has taken him under his wing the past two years. I'm okay losing a long-time fan favorite like Joel Dreessen because the Texans have been preparing for his departure. James Casey will probably be the starting fullback.

I think Graham will do a good job replacing Dreessen as the backup tight end. As long as Schaub's foot is ready to go the offense will score a lot of points. I'm excited about the draft. I still think Houston should sign Vince Young though. Bring in a veteran quarterback and hometown hero to compete with Yates for the backup spot. He's a cheaper and better option than Matt Leinart, who they released.

Arian Foster is up against Tim Tebow for the Madden 13 cover. The winner moves on to the round of 16.

Rashad Butler is working hard this off-season. I'm really cheering for this guy to become the Texans new starting Right Tackle this year.



I really do want to believe in him but he's shown me nothing up to this point in his NFL career. He'll definitely have a leg up on any offensive tackle they draft, but if he can't get past his injury setbacks it's going to be a rookie starting for us at RT this year. Six years in the NFL out of a national power house like the Miami Hurricanes. This guy has to get it done. Make or break year for him in 2012. Losing Eric Winston is a blessing in disguise for him to have a productive NFL career before it's too late.

Antoine Caldwell at Right Guard and Rashad Butler at Right Tackle. The new starting right side of the offensive line? If only it works out I'll be happy. It seems like a lot of wishful thinking right now. I've got to see it to believe it. And by seeing it, I mean those two guys playing well together. Caldwell looked overmatched at Right Guard in the few games he started last year, but Yates was at quarterback and Andre Johnson didn't play. The Colts and Panthers knew the Texans were running the ball 75 % of the time in those games. The offense wasn't scoring enough points and it's unfair to put the blame on Caldwell.

Yeah, not a big fan of Butler, but of he's our starting RT, I'll support him either way. At least he's working his ass off. I'd be happier if we got Mike Adams from Ohio St tho. This draft is going to be interesting though.
