Despite the fact that Brady never did anything wrong, it is still part of larger issues: A corporation having to manage the perception of its stockholders (owners that were upset about spygate). A CBA that gives Goodell the freedom to dole out punishments in violation of the facts of a case.
Exactly, swept it under the rug. It's just a damn shame that Brady got punished and disparaged for (more than likely) pressure from the owners like you mention.
