The funniest part of it all is that not only did the ref blow the whistle dead on our should have been strip fumble recovery TD return by Myles Jack, but he instantly ruled it a turnover after blowing the whistle dead. That literally makes zero sense.

The refs are literally taught and schooled on letting every turnover run it's course regardless of what happens because it'll be automatically reviewed.

That was a risk he wasn't willing to take

Holy Fucking Jesus Christ.

I knew this video has been going around for awhile now, even on the Jags forum, but I haven't bothered watching it until now.

I honestly didn't even know that, that beyond terrible TD "catch" by Cooks happened. They said it happened in week 3 I think? That was literally the most blatant incomplete catch I've seen in my entire life and they called that a TD even after review? LOL. Clearly the fix was in from the start of the season and all of this other biased bullshit just falls into place lmao.

The entire video makes complete sense through out and is spot on.

Bold is the biggest bullshit you've ever spewed (and a lot comes out of your mouth)

Cooks never lost control of the ball (i.e. the ball never bobbled or was loose when he was going to the ground). the ball may have rotated a little bit when he made contact with the ground but they were never going to overturn that, ball can hit the ground during a catch as long as the receiver doesn't lose control.

Even Dan Fouts on the call says "ball controlled, all the way to the ground" lol

not to mention the Texans never challenged, had they did, call still would've probably had stood.

you should probably move on with your life...

It's not the amount of penalties... Refs nullified a TD return with no penalty and gifted a TD with one bogus PI call before the half. It's not just the amount of penalties, it's the general officiating and significance of major calls.

that "bogus PI call" may have been ticky-tack but it was justified according to Dean Blandino:
Quote

In his analysis, former Senior VP of Officiating Dean Blandino asserted that both championship games were called well and that officiating didn’t effect either outcome. In referencing the Bouye DPI, he clarified that “if the defender is not playing the ball and he makes contact that affects the receiver’s ability to make a play, then it’s a foul. It was close, there was a lot of contact, the official threw the flag.”

I don't like having to admit it, but you are just digging yourself a deeper hole here and making Hako look good by comparison.

Fouts was wrong. There is video evidence of the ball being on the ground underneath Cooks' arm.

Come on, I know that you know the rules better than to say something like that. It wouldn't have been possible for the Texans to challenge a scoring play.

Including what it says in the 16-18minutes segment? ( https://youtu.be/jc1_Gt0bOX4?t=955 )

I know, I can't edit, I realized immediately after i posted that the play was already reviewed therefore there's nothing to challenge

I disagree but whatever I don't really care, it was called a touchdown, there wasn't enough evidence to me to overturn it. What part of the ball can hit the ground during a catch (and still be a catch) that you don't understand? It rotated like 180* but he never really lost control of it...

I'm pretty sure Hako thinks there's a wide conspiracy going on... I know you love conspiracies but come on...

I wouldn't have had a problem if the refs had used that logic in all 4 cases (Cooks, James, Benjamin, ASJ) to let the calls on the field all stand. But the Cooks video isn't any less conclusive than the others.

The thing I do understand about the ball being able to hit the ground (but still be a catch) is that you could make that argument more strongly in Jesse James' catch than on Cooks.

The debate on the table isn't IF there is some conspiracy going on. We all know that the billionaires get together and have secret meetings every year about how they can work together to make more money. The salary cap is their way of all agreeing to keep player salaries below what the market value would be in a free market economy. They are colluding.

The debate on the table is: What is the exact nature of the conspiracy? Do they get together with Vegas and talk about what final score would be best? Or are things only guided in vague, broad ways like scheduling and occasional rule changes?

Exactly, I'm being consistent (with my opinions), the refs aren't. I think the Kelvin Benjamin TD should've stood. I was really surprised when they overturned it...

hence I would've been really surprised if they overturned the Cooks TD (which they didn't)....

The difference with the Jesse James TD is the camera angles were way better and CLEARLY showed the ball out of his control; Look at Jesse James' left hand when the ball goes to the ground, he's not even holding onto the ball, that's CLEAR evidence to me that it's not a catch... whereas the Cooks TD, there was no CLEAR angle at the time and Cooks never really lost control, his hands are both surrounding the ball in a cradling fashion, i.e. not enough evidence to overturn.

bottom line: refs have a hard job and they are inconsistent, there's not a mass conspiracy that the league wants the patriots to win.
