Why would they bother lying about it?

Patriots coaching staff alienated a lot of the players last year especially with the benching of Butler.

Based on interviews with Brady and shit it should be interesting to see how everyone acts.

The butler thing has happened before - maybe not in the SB but this is nothing new for NEs players/staff

Players are held accountable, they always have been

Shit still seems normal to me, people just fishing.

Other day ESPN sends out notification with "Brady pleads the 5th on whether or not he feels appreciated by Bill/Kraft", then the actual interview/question he goes on to talk about how BB is the best coach for him and that he owes the majority of success to him, and sure that it's hard to play for him, but it's because of that that they're so good. People just want there to be drama and it's fucking annoying.

No i'm not saying the agent is a liar i'm saying the patriots were probably trying to "smokescreen" by saying they'd be interested in him at #2. Idk, if they were serious, i'd feel super uneasy about giving up at least 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks + future picks.

Aw, I get you. I wasn't even comfortable giving up the 23rd overall for a QB lol. I'm glad they held out and didn't grab a QB until way late. We still have Tom and I think it's smarter to improve everything else (especially our oline, dline and secondary), and then if something happens to Tom or he retires at the end of this season or next, that's when we can sell the farm to move up for a QB. No point doing it now when we've got holes that'll make a rookie QB get shit on and when we've still got a Pro-bowl QB on our roster.

Agree about the qb

I like the players we got in the draft

Solid off-season to say the least

Braxton Berrios hype:

Quote (Mike Lombardi)
"You watch this guy play and you say wait a minute, this is Wes Welker, wait a minute, this is Danny Amendola, wait a minute, this could be Julian Edelman,” Lombardi said. “Classic New England Patriot. Now, he’s got to get stronger. He’s like 189 [pounds] and he’s got to get more physical. He can return punts, he’s got great hands. He’s going to be an inside the slot receiver. He shows enough toughness. I thought this was a great pick. … He has enough time to develop. If he’s smart, he’ll just start following Julian Edelman around, where he goes and just do everything Edelman does, and learn how to be a good player.”

i agree that there was no need for an aggressive move, but guys like jackson, rudolph or lauletta were still out there
