if what you said was true, then how come he wasn't able to secure a backup role?

if martin goes down, this "explode any time he touches the ball" mentality you have for blount would probably be desirable to the bucs, would it not?

the coaches and staff know what they are doing, and you clearly are seeing things that aren't there. the people that saw him every day in practice would know better than you i'd wager. had all the bullshit you've been spitting at me the last few posts been true, the front office would have kept him around. ghat being said, the pats are famous for taking broken players and making them into stars once more. this is common knowledge. so if he really has anything left to offer, belicheat will find it.

i like your optimism, but i promise you that your thoughts are misguided.

/e you do realize he was traded for a guy who has never touched the ball in the NFL and a 7th round pick right?

Point 1 - Because we had changed from a power back running style - if we don't require his skillset, why bother using him?
Point 2 - I would find it desirable to have Blount behind Martin - thats a #1 back and a backup #1 back - thats a win situation right there and I think for the sake of CAP and Blount wanting a shot, we got rid. I didn't wanna get rid - but i'm not a coach just a fan.
Point 3 - You can wager all you like - i'm not suggesting I know more or better info than the coaches, but you can stop acting like you were in the locker room and know his "character concerns" because I tell you for a fact, there were no character issues with Blount in the Schiano order. Bitch moan as much as you like, you won't find a single backed up source to back up that shitty claim.
Point 4 - So if Blount becomes a beast in NE you are gonna be all "TOLD YOU SO".

Enjoy that high horse pal - it won't last.

not getting into the bs but agree with cheese... i like blount but he didn't put forth as much effort as he should have and he has absolutely NO vision whatsoever as well as he needs like 3-5 yards to get his steam before he does anything if not he is stopped in the backfield. I'm sure he may get that with the Pats because of the fear of brady which will allow him to sneak into the line up and make some runs im sure. IF you don't remember that goalline stand in NO we ran Blount like 3 times he hit the wrong fucking hole like twice and didn't follow his FB and lost yards. This was also when we had Carl Nicks and the only missing piece of our O line was Davin but it didnt matter cuz the run was designed to run behind Lorig and Nicks which he neglected to do.

Yea hes not too bad i like him as like a u derdog type story... heard from practice bowers didnt look so good but mccoy was virtually unblockable and clay orn looked good as well and gave donaldpenn all, he could handle o the left side.

Schiano said in an interview on NFL mobile that Bowers was looking good. He's supposedly quite healthy this year for a change. I'm hoping his injuries evaporate permanently, giving us the 1-2 of Bowers/McCoy.

Bowers and AC have both bulked up top and changed their body style, IMO they are going to have more strength to really get alot more pressure, and given our secondary, I wouldn't be surprised if we started getting used to a 30sack season :D

love how you spent so long arguing with me, but then a fellow bucs fan agrees with me and all you can say is true.

i wasn't making things personal, but you continued to generalize my statements and put words in my mouth.

all i'm saying is that if blount really was as good as you've been saying for the last few pages of this thread, why was he let go for next to nothing? your "point a" above makes no sense btw. you said the previous post that he can explode any time he touches the ball. that has nothing to do with his "power run" style. if a player has that ability, it shouldn't matter how he fits in the offense bc the offense would build around that. i.e. Packers with cobb, jordy, etc.

you're having a hard time letting go, but just be happy you have a top 5 back in Martin. Rarely does a talent come out of the draft that deadly from the start.

/e

stop trying to make things personal btw. that just shows you're getting defensive and are desperate in terms of the argument. i have no issue with you and have been posting in this thread for a while. in fact, you've actually been really polite to me up until this argument. continue being petty if you like, its your loss

Yea well maybe that was before the padded practices... heard reports saying bowers was getting handled by both demar dotson and gabe carimi during the night scrimmage.
