thoughts on dawson from someone who watches college?

Wow, I'm fucking shocked. Can't believe they didn't grab a QB. Would have really preferred we used one of our earlier picks on an LB, but this draft was just about perfect. I'm not sold on the RB pick... Just doesn't make sense for BB and I don't think it's a piece we really needed all that much. We'll see, maybe the kid will prove me wrong. Glad we picked up some defensive pressure at the end of the draft and I'm excited to see the revamped NE team coming back off a SB loss. We've never made the SB again following a loss, but maybe this will be the year.

I am going to be.hoping we don't match up against Jacksonville in the playoffs, they're still the only team in the AFC that scares me.

I'm insanely surprised the way this draft worked out, but I'm glad to see them grab back-to-back LBs later on, the help on the offensive line should also make the RB we picked up even more valuable. We'll see how it all works out, but I'm impressed with how this looks on paper, but gotta see it in action first to know how it's going to go down.

If NE has a pass rush, they will dominate the league this year.

coming into the draft I really wanted to go heavy on the front 7, but I'm pretty happy with how it all went

The only pick I'm upset about is Sony Michel, and I'm not doubting that he could be a great addition to our offense, I just think we had more important pieces to get. He's supposedly a solid blocker and a great pass catcher. I don't really watch college ball, so I'm only going off what little tape of him I've watched over the past few days and of course the few takes I've read on him from the professionals. The whole ball security thing makes me really scratch my head though, BB hates players with those issues, and he usually avoids guys who have injury concerns like the plague.

That's the ONLY pick I wasn't 100% content with, and it's still not a bad pick. It was a solid draft and I'm glad we picked up some important pieces. Hopefully our defense can continue to improve and start putting at least moderate pressure on opposing QBs, and it looks like we know have a line that'll actually allot Brady the appropriate amount of time needed for him to absolutely shred whoever the fuck is unfortunate enough to match up against us. Should be another solid year.

my very first INITIAL thought when I saw "rb" was me being confused, but man he really does seem like unique talent to say the least

from what i read from places he has "improved his ball control", and that is something that can be taught pretty easily, especially in the NE camp I think

but otherwise i'm with you

i think the draft was solid and im excited to see what the rest of the offseason looks like for us now that we have more pieces to work with
