The fuck? We play 5 primetime games in 7 weeks... what is this madness?

Chiefs+Packers should both be super exciting games (as long as fucking Rodgers is healthy). I am curious what kind of team KC will be this year. People can talk all the shit they want about Smith, and he may not have ever won them a SB, but he's a much better option than plenty of the QBs out there who can't even manage a game to save their life. Colts, Bills, and Lions are the other three. We should be able to handle the Colts no problem, Lions are inconsistent as fuck, so you can't really count them out, and we should be able to at least out shoot the Bills if we still haven't fixed our defensive woes. I still believe that all we need to do is fill that tackle spot and bring in 1-2 pass rushing weapons and as long as Brady stays healthy, we could win another SB. If we can't pressure a QB for the third fucking year in a row, we're going to be in trouble. If NE somehow manages to draft or steal some defensive talents who can get some pressure for us, we should be able to steamroll all 3 of these teams.

This is probably the last year we'll have a chance, but I'm still hoping that somehow magically both NE and GB have like 13-3 or better seasons, or it'd be even better if one went 15-1 and the other 16-0 lol (This is pretty much impossible, i know, but I'm fantasizing here, leave me the fuck alone), and then they played in the SB

both our 3rd round draft picks last season didn't even play one NFL snap, maybe they'll contribute this year? Tony Garcia (OT) had blood clots in his lungs or something causing him to miss the whole 2017 season but supposedly he's fully recovered and ready to go, and Derek Rivers (DE) tore his ACL in training camp and he should be fully recovered by now as well. Who knows maybe neither will make the team but I suspect being 3rd round picks each the patriots won't give up on either just yet.

That's true, and the 4 picks we've got in the first 2 rounds should hopefully help us be back in contender form (+ the one third). It's always hard to know how drafted players will do, but that Cooks trade was fucking brilliant I thought, and I'm so happy to be in a good spot to draft a beast DE. I'm pretty pumped on BB pulling that. You never know, maybe BB will pull some magic bullshit with a 6th round pick and we'll get some crazy stud player who no one was even looking at.

You have to know we'll be using one of those top 5 picks on a QB, I'm just curious where exactly that'll be. Either they'll trade up to try and get one of the big QBs (I'm praying we don't do this), or maybe they'll use their 63rd or 95th (this is what I'd prefer) on a QB and hope Brady stays healthy this year, and sticks around for maybe one more to help fully develop a 2nd/3rd rounder into a starter before throwing him out there. With how Brady has been, it's possible he could be willing to do this year and one more, but it's going to cost NE. It seems like Brady is trying to cash out, and I don't blame him at all. He's constantly taken paycuts for the team, just give the guy one big year or two to show him how much you appreciate him. It'll raise morale A LOT, since Brady will be happy and a happy Brady will get everyone feeling happy, and if they show him that kind of love, other players will start believing it's possible for them to get it too (we know that's not true, but the belief will keep us going lol).

Cooks trade surprised me but I'm not mad at all; upgraded what we gave up for him (31st or whatever to 23rd or whatever).

I hope we don't trade up for a QB... I really don't think any of these guys will be as good as Wentz (or maybe even Goff). We've been linked to Lamar Jackson, if we could get him in the 2nd round I'd be psyched but I'm weary about spending a 1st round pick on any of these QBs to be honest.

I'm with you man, fuck that noise lol. 2nd round at the most, and a 3rd if we could somehow get away with it would be preferred.

according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots hosted Jackson for an official top-30 visit two weeks ago and he left the organization “intrigued and impressed" with him.

Blah... I really don't want to use a first on a QB. Curious what he did at the visit to impress NE lol.

Yeah I agree, we'll see what happens. Also heard we've been linked to Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolph. But I bet we don't spend #23 on a QB. (at least I hope we don't, the other first round pick, #31 overall? would be more palpable)
