His own shortcomings includes the addition of Dougzilla - who would replace ANY running back in the NFL, 25 teams would start him as the #1 in a heartbeat - so what chance did Blount really have?
He has the ability to explode any time he touches the ball - something that I think he would have done last year with the Bucs but as I said we had Martin, at that point we did not need a bruising power back because he was a between the tackles shortass.
His apex would be achieved by a power running game
if what you said was true, then how come he wasn't able to secure a backup role?
if martin goes down, this "explode any time he touches the ball" mentality you have for blount would probably be desirable to the bucs, would it not?
the coaches and staff know what they are doing, and you clearly are seeing things that aren't there. the people that saw him every day in practice would know better than you i'd wager. had all the bullshit you've been spitting at me the last few posts been true, the front office would have kept him around. ghat being said, the pats are famous for taking broken players and making them into stars once more. this is common knowledge. so if he really has anything left to offer, belicheat will find it.
i like your optimism, but i promise you that your thoughts are misguided.
/e you do realize he was traded for a guy who has never touched the ball in the NFL and a 7th round pick right?
