I'm getting confused by the strategy here.


They aren't putting money into the offense but paid Dissly. There was a report they were trying to shop Lockett.

They let Wagner walk, they pay Diggs but then let Reed walk.


It doesn't seem like they have a plan.

He was nice, but glad we didn't overpay to keep him. We would have been paying a combined 41m/yr for an aging safety coming off a massive injury, a safety that can't/hasn't even made it through 1 full season, and an undersized zone corner, in a rebuilding year.

And I don't have anything against Kap, except that he hasn't played football in like 6 yrs. What would be the point of bringing him back on a 1 yr, unless we think he would be either a true difference maker over Lock (still wouldn't be contenders) or a tryout as the Qb of the future (highly doubtful especially if there is a regime change looming).

Nothing wrong with competition and Geno is dealing with off field issues.
