What QB is a better athlete? RG3 got knee'd like fuck, unless he REALLY bounces back he's out of the running. Kaep? Don't make me laugh. Vick has a case for it; dude is old but he can still make some crazy athletic plays. Wilson can hustle but he's small.

@ all the draft talk: my board looks like this: OL > DB > WR > 2nd string RB > KR/PR

We need at least 2 new OL in the draft + free agency, and need at least 1 new CB. Another RB that can help take some of the pressure of Jennings would be huge, but we really need a playmaker for YAC...someone who can make big plays when we need them most. Our big problem with Pryor was that our offense would peter out in the 3rd quarter. We'd start hot and go strong through the second, but as soon as Pryor hit a cold streak there was NOBODY there to help him out. With Jennings as a strong RB, I think with better playcalling Pryor has a great shot at being a legitimate starter, even with our sad WR core (which could be worse, Streeter and Holmes have good hands but aren't home run hitters).



I will CRY if we don't resign Veldheer. He's our only good lineman. And I'd really like Huston back as well.

One player that will probably not get resigned is Jared Allen (DE, MIN). If we grab him our 4 man pass rush gets a lot more intimidating.

Fuck Jared Allen. He's got limited good years left. I'm tired of giving old names good money to come end their careers with us. Imo I don't see us making any sb runs for a few years at least so y waist the extra cap on a guy who won't be around long enough for a good sb run. Take the younger players with potential and see what we can develop. That way we have a good strong young team that will last and not just 2-3 years with a salary cap draining vet. Time to rebuild. Younger is the way to go. Something you can eventually build around. I love my raiders as much as anyone has ever loved any sports team. Time they gave us fans some fucking bragging rights and not just rememberance of the Gannon/brown/rice/wheatley/garner days. Jerry porter too. Idgaf porter was decent.

O and bout Pryor. Yeah he's athletic but I'd like to see some better passing and leadership out of him before I go stamping a tag like that on him. Yeah he can run. Vick could too in his early days but his passing was for shit. Step Ur qb rating up imo. I don't want a younger Vick. He needs to think more Steve young and less Vick. Young could scramble when needed but that wasn't by any means his one trick. Get him a true long ball threat receiver and let's see what he can do

I can see where you're coming from on Jared Allen and appreciate your position. That's how I normally feel about getting old players, but, similar to Woodson, Allen is a winner, a workhorse, and a monster. He could bring the right attitude to our defensive unit and step up as a leader.

Pryor and McGloin both deserve to have more time to see what they can do. I'm with you on the last bit though, it's really stupid to rule a QB out when they have as little supporting cast as the Raiders offer. Give them a decent O-line, give them a decent #1 WR, and give the two of them another half season each. If they don't show serious promise by the end of this season, I'm ready to look at the draft.

im not convinced he is. yes he can run the ball very nicely. but as i said in my tldr nn a young mike vick. IF he can improve his passing game and become more of a steve young qb (one who could run like crazy if needed but relied on his passing) then id say hes the guy for damn sure. i just also would like to see what he can do with some good pocket time and a good deep threat/yac guy

black qbs will never be greeat in the nfl sorry..they have 1 good year then a semi good year then hve a 4-5 win season. the qbs comming out in the draft are 200% better than pryor
