philly should've flagged for illegal formation negating that trick-play TD. “We always use a yard [within the line of scrimmage], maybe a yard-and-a-half. But that’s two [yards], and even a little bit beyond two. It’s kind of one of those that has no effect on the play. I get it. But they didn’t line up properly. And it really should’ve been called.” The play came on fourth down, so the Eagles would then have had fourth-and-goal from the 6-yard line.
those are just facts, completely fair to post them

I tend to look at it as not karma but refs are inconsistent but to each his own...
that's an opinion I happen to share

this kind of hurts to read
this is where you lose me. It shouldn't hurt to read that the refs missed a call. You're giving legitimacy to people who are upset when a call goes the Pats way.
The conclusion to take away from these facts is the double standard at play here. If the Pats had gotten away with an illegal formation on a trick play TD, it would have its own thread with 200 posts full of memes about Brady having a threesome with his son and the ref. But all the missed calls that don't benefit the Patriots are never talked about, thus the illusion of a pro-Pats bias is created.
