I won't pretend to know much about the late round prospects, but I'd like to see a pick spent there. I'm really not a fan of RR.

Me either.
Would have been nice had Colt panned out. Too bad he had all those personal problems.

Oh, you played 1 season of collegiate football at U of Miami Ohio? Come on up to GB, buddy!

To be fair, nobody questioned if that dude could play. I remember reading and watching some stuff about him a few months ago. He set some record in basketball for being like the all time assists record holder or something like that (don't quote me on that exactly, but he set some record in basketball in college).

He's a little undersized, but again people didn't really question if he could play football, despite only playing 1 year of college FB. Really the only knock I remember hearing/reading about was his long speed. Which did show up at the Combine that his long speed might not be that good. He didn't run all that fast, but you have to take 40 times with a huge grain of salt. Instincts will make up for speed issues.

Kevin White doesn't play at a 4.3 speed. Breshad Perriman doesn't play at 4.25 speed and Jaelen Strong doesn't play at 4.4 either.

Drafting 2 exceptional athletes at the same position in back to back rounds is a little unnerving. Especially considering they have 2 seasons of college ball between them both iirc. Randall was playing baseball in center field before switching to football the following year.

I'm not saying they are bad picks or that I'm questioning his ability to play, but you can't really fault me for being upset and a little perplexed at our strategy this year considering how unorthodox each pick has been so far

Randall has 2 seasons of College FB at Arizona State.

I looked at it as both of them are switchy picks. Both can/could play CB or Safety. I looked at those picks as you guys drafting them for both positions and letting the camp battles help pave their way of where they might end up. Also, with the way the league continues to get more pass heavy, it doesn't hurt to have multiple guys who could play either CB or S in a pinch. As you guys know first hand with some of the Secondary injuries you guys have went through recently.

While it's not typically ideal, having 2 or 3 guys who could play CB or S is a nice luxury to have.

Considering we already have a player like that, Micah Hyde, this doesn't really comfort me at all. I have already heard the rationale of the picks from the front office and local analysts. I get it and appreciate how flexible we can be now with depth as far as nickel and dime packages go, but that wasn't our weakness last season as much as our starters having issues with the fundamentals. We've discussed this before. Poor angles, tackling and over-persuing ball carriers hindered us more than our secondary. Hayward, Shields, Burnett and Clinton-Dix are a quality starting 4 and the 2 new picks along with Hyde will do wonders I'm sure, but it was hard watching so much interior talent slip away in the first 3 rounds.

Well most of the game is played in nickel and dime packages now rather than base.

I also thought you guys would have addressed the Defensive front 7 more, but they obviously felt like the Secondary was a more pressing issue. The fundamentals issues alarms me more along the lines of coaching problems, if it's an issue with multiple different players and different positions.

Agreed, but I don't know what else he could be thinking. He has to know they need at least ONE starter and I'm sure he realizes Peppers is now 35, even if he claims that he's unsure of what will happen since he's not the DC.

I really have to explain to you what nitpicking is? Could you be any more weird?

You're worried that they didn't draft LBs.. Are you aware of the # of picks they have and our REAL concerns on defense???

There is a reason they are in the position they are in. You on the other hand, need to fuckin figure it out bud.
