Well Burelson broke his leg, I doubt he will be back this season. Loss was tough to watch, offense was horribad last night, in all phases. We had a chance to win by a couple td's and blew it. 2 fumbles in the redzone killed us, logan fucked us with his non catching skills, maybe we should make him a reciever, since all they do is drop shit too. We need some san diego stickem. Stafford has been playing like shit, and the whole offense is suffering from slow start syndrome. The defense played pretty well, especially as much as they were on the field. Going to be a long season if the offense cant get shit going. They need to go back to basics and just do shit the right way. We are too undisciplined to expect to win, 6 fumbles in one game, lucky it wasn't a fucking blow out.
I can't help but put the slow starts on our offensive play calling. Yes, Stafford does look bad. However, it seems he starts to get in his rhythm when we are forced to throw all 3 downs. We need to go back to what these Detroit Lions are and be a pass-first team. I really do enjoy what LeShoure is bringing to our run game, however it clearly is not enough yet and we have to do more than 3 and out the whole first half. Passing more will not only get Stafford going early in games but we can use the pass game to justify the run instead of trying to force the run to justify the pass.
The turnovers were awful. I don't think I have ever seen something that bad. Two lucky fumbles by Pettigrew. 2 fumbles by Bell and LeShoure. Stephan Logan.... lets not even go there.
On the positive note the defense is looking great. Smith got burned a little bit in the beginning but he looked good for only coming back this week (don't know why he was on b-marsh at all in that game).
