And that's the ultimate question, do you draft for the now, or for the future. It's always got to be a bit of both, but definitely puts you guys in a tough spot.

If all goes well, you wont be picking in the top 10 again, but that also means you'll have a much tougher time trying to replace Goff in the future through the draft. Although, in that case, you might as well just extend Goff and keep riding with him.

Idk about gibbs, dudes a beast for sure but i didnt think we needed an rb not named Bijan that high in the draft. Campbell is great too, but i think it was a bit of a reach and he likely would be available with our early 2nd we got from arizona

Both picks felt like reaches but Holmes talked about how he felt like he could do anything this draft and wasn’t necessarily going to look at position strength when putting his board together. Seems like they are prioritizing guys who they feel like are smart, high character football players. Trying to continue to set the culture they want for the team.

I love both players but did feel like they might have been available at later picks, I guess they left enough of an impression on Holmes and the coaching staff that they didn’t want to take that gamble.
