Obviously he's just saying a bet is a bet, meaning if your out with your buddy and he bets he can throw a basketball 100 feet and he doesn't he owes you and if he does you owe him.

None of the spreads and odds.

Meaning

If he throws it 99 feet he loses if he throws it 98 feet he loses etc, there are no portions split and there is a rightful winner and loser. It's a straight odds bet.

Yea but earlier in the season I saw him talking it out with some guy who wasn't a fan of the team he was arguing for and he tried getting a s/u bet, saying the same stuff he just said. I can understand fan vs fan but that one was lol.

I didn't really pay attention to the conversation so he might have been.

Thing is though one of my coworkers talks mad shit about the Seahawks and he's a Steelers fan. Right before they played I bet him $20 that the Seahawks would win, there weren't any odds involved.

I'm that kind of guy as well, I understand odd betting but at the same time if someone is bashing my team but won't take a straight up bet against there's they should shut there mouths.
