Is that unless the person requests it u/f?

The rule on the "Sending Upfront" doesn't talk about the person who gets it upfront confirming it unless I'm missing that somewhere.

They still need to confirm. If they request u/f or not, they still have to confirm, no exceptions.

The rules don't say anywhere that receiving u/f counts as a confirm.

Umm...

"This means that in order to confirm your bet, you would send your fg upfront to the person with whom you are betting with."

I'm assuming though that typically in these situations, someone would say "cd once u/f" or something to that nature.

But if someone were to just say, "u/f" and the other user just sends it... It would be BM but not a welch-able offense if they return the fg back at any point?

Yes. Sending u/f is a confirm. That is 1 confirm. 1 out of 2.

Receiving upfront does not count as the other confirm. The u/f receiver still needs to take some action to confirm their part of the bet.

It doesn't say it's a form of confirmation. You still need to confirm the bet, but if you don't send u/f then it's still not a bet.

It's like this, a normal bet, both sides need to confirm, no exceptions.
In a bet where someone is sending u/f, both sides need to confirm, but one side must send u/f as well in order for it to be a bet.

So technically, the person who receives it upfront (as long as they didn't say cd or any of the variation at any point of the bet) can just hang onto the fg until whenever they desire?

So.. I'm assuming though that typically in these situations, active +++ would say "cd once u/f" or something to that nature.

But if they were to just say, "u/f" (notice there is no cd or variation) and the other user just sends it... It would be BM but not a welch-able offense if they return the fg back at any point?

Btw, thanks for answering these, I'm trying to understand the rules better.
