More about the siding just cracks and breaks when you try to cut it when its so cold. It's vinyl and just gets brittle when its below 30 degrees, I'll work until its in the single digits, but it just gets frustrating when every other time you cut a piece it breaks and you have to redo it. Even worse yet you get it nailed most of the way off and mis hit or something and blow the whole top lock out it, when that never happens when its warmer. Cutting 45 degree angles on jchannel almost always snaps it too, it's just more effort and wasted material and time than its worth.
Heh. I meant for grabbing the nails. I know a lot of guys that won't wear any because it's harder to grip the nails and hammer properly. That's all well and good until the cold affects your grip and missing with the hammer sends the feeling back into your thumb.
