Agreed. And it was the perfect year to be the vamp.

I don't think Vamp will be able to overcome a 12 man unless its 8 player playoffs.

2 more players to increase difficulty for initial roster & 2 more playoff spots so Vamp has a chance to get in w sub 500 record; seems like a good balance.

That first W is gonna be really tough to get in a 12 man.

Actually increases vamp’s odds since each team would theoretically be weaker. The waiver wire head start is a huge advantage weeks 1 and 2, especially in deeper leagues.

That's a really interesting point I hadn't considered that aspect.

But consider 2 extra teams is like 30 less players to build a roster from. That's a big hit to an already very slim pool of relevant wrs/rbs to roster from.

There’s always a few gems that come out of nowhere, I don’t think it hurts vamp’s odds of getting relevant players early by too much, but you’re right, there are advantages and disadvantages to each format

Realistically, Vamp eats 4-5 losses before actually acquiring a player so the odds of winning out and making the playoffs is harder with 11 as opposed to 9. We'll need a guinea pig next year

Needs to not have covid tbh. That was the only downfall. You also had 1st dibs on waivers every week right?
Makes it even more tough when you can just scoop a handcuff of someone who went down or went on covid list
