Just got a DT

Imo we need more picks on the o line, DE, and maybe a TE and we'll be good to go

Not sure about the qb pick but in bb we trust right?

insurance pick.

also that DT looks super risky.

omfg not another injury prone DT....

"Valentine's career showed real promise at times, yet was marked by inconsistency and injury."

I wouldn't have minded a QB in the 6th or something but 3rd? really? i'm gonna go out on a limb and say this guy we just drafted probably wont be our franchise QB when brady is gone lol ... but what do i know i'm just a casual football fan

Brissett has everything a NFL QB needs. Give him time to sit behind Brady and learn from Belichick, and he could become a starter.

But I don't think the Pats necessarily draft QB's to be Brady's successor. First of all, nobody knows how much longer he'll play, and if it's up to him it will be another seven years. Secondly, NE's had good luck with developing QB's behind Brady and then fleecing some team out of draft picks.

I think if he plays halfway decent filling in for Brady he gets traded by the end of the year.

basically I just read his draft/scouting report profile, from what I read sounds like he's a poor man's Jameis Winston/Brett Hundley

good size for a QB tho

pros: good accuracy, can throw touch passes as well as rockets, pro-style scheme etc, can run for first downs
cons: bad footwork; tends to throw off his back foot too much, bad deep ball, needs work thinking on his feet

would some team really have taken this guy before the 5th ot 6th?

Dude, accuracy, touch, arm strength, and his experience in a pro system are easily the most important things.

You can coach away his bad habits easily.

And post 2007, when has the deep ball mattered to NE?

true, Brady hits on the deep balls maybe 1/10 times if he's lucky now lol (not all his fault throwing to bums like dobson, lafell and keshawn martin)

Like how we've done so far.

Wish we would have went after a WR earlier but I understand the route we took.

As usual, we will take a pai of 6th/7th rd WRs and hope to develop them - and we won't >.>
