Way I'm feeling at this moment (could change over the week as I read and think it over more)

Jags will have a 14-10 halftime lead, but the Patriots will win 30-14.

Pats have been taking the ball first lately, outside of the norm. I think they want to avoid slow starts and want to play with a lead. I was surprised last week when it happened with the Titans.

Anyways, in regards to Hako's most recent post on containing Gronk and potential issues with Poz @ LB...

Playing single man on Gronk never works well for other teams. You need help over the top. And when you do that, we have White/Lewis to catch out of the backfield and Dola to run flats, Hogan to run crosses underneath so fast that the man doesn't help much. If you mismatch like you said, Brady will expose it so fast. But the Jags know that. Playing zone, Brady will tear you apart. Gronk usually gets his longest gains up the seam like you mentioned. I saw a graphic that showed his completions and routes and the middle of the field was full of green. I think that your front four will decide how fast Brady has to get rid of the ball. Typically, when he has time, he will make something work. And if he gets collapsed on from early on, he has a tendency to play conservative and like shit at times. Besides the Jags D line, I think the difference maker will be the Patriots ability to run the ball. We need to. Can't have another 52 pass attempt game this week, especially against your defense, just won't work. Establish the run, open up with play action, and hopefully make some deep connections with Cooks, and it should be a good game.

Agreed, but I think it will take a little back and forth before the proper adjustments are made and the Pats will be able to run the ball effectively. They have a bad habit of wanting to use the short passing game as a substitute for a running game, but I don't think Brady will have enough time in the pocket for the short ones. Plus the lack of Edelman is extra punishing in that area.

The Steelers made the adjustments in their game, but it was too little too late since the deficit was so large. The Jags getting a big early lead like that is an anomaly for that style of team. I think the Pats will eventually make the right adjustments to win the game comfortably, but they won't come until halftime.

Jags only win condition is Scott Zolak at QB

I don't.

Titans D is no joke v the run.

We could very easily gameplan to run the ball. running backs are going to have big games.

I didn't get to watch him play either, but I think this is pretty well known. Maybe people just don't know its Zolak lol

UNICORNS! SHOW PONIES! WHERE'S THE BEEF?

I'd have to say that WEEIGOD is the baseline Pats fan, so if he knows who Zolak is, the majority of people probably do as well

You and kidl0l guy are the only ones who probably know him i could be wrong though.

And haha that (wheres the beef) was one of his best lines

My favorite is "there are shows out there, that pick the other team!" (You'd have to hear it, his inflection makes it funny).

FOXBORO — There’s no doubt the Jaguars defense is one of the best in the league, but it may not be as good as some think.

Jacksonville had the No. 2 ranked defense overall in the regular season, as it allowed 286.1 yards per game, and then was also the No. 2 defense in terms of points per game, allowing just 16.8.

But, when looking at who the Jaguars actually went up against over the course of the season, it may have inflated these numbers a bit.

Jacksonville faced 11 offenses that finished 17th or below in total offense and faced only one which ranked higher than eighth.

Also, it has allowed 40 or more points twice in its last four games, including to the 20th ranked 49ers offense when Jimmy Garoppolo led them to a 44-33 win in Week 16. And most recently, the defense allowed 42 points to the Steelers, including 469 passing yards and five touchdowns to Ben Roethlisberger in the divisional round last weekend. Not to mention it allowed 37 points to the Titans in Week 2.

“I don’t think it’s a major of mystery of, ‘Oh my God, where are they? What defense are they in?’ They don’t care about that,” Bill Belichick said Monday on Dale & Holley with Keefe. “They want to beat you where they need to be and then play aggressively from there. Blocking them and getting away from the defenders is what we talked about, that is going to be a big challenge.

“We certainly can’t stand there and hold the ball all day. That won’t work. We’re going to have to make some yards running the ball, but that’s easier said than done, too. You have to block them and they have a lot of hard guys to block, and they are fast. It’s hard to get outside. They do a good job."

Here are some of the quarterbacks the Jaguars defense faced this year: Tom Savage, Josh McCown, Jacoby Brissett (twice), DeShone Kizer and Blaine Gabbert. Certainly facing this group had something to do with the defensive numbers.

Also, the unit scored nine defensive touchdowns this season, which is the most scored by a defense since the 2012 Bears. Even more impressive is eight of them came on the road. But at the same time, there has to be some luck involved. Nine defensive touchdowns is an insane number and likely a case of a few of them having the ball bounce their way more so than it being a skilled play.

This isn’t to suggest the Jaguars defense isn’t talented, it’s just worth pointing out that while it is ranked No. 2 in the top categories, a quick glance at who its faced suggests there may be more to that story.

I'm excited.

I think we can take care of business this week.

I expect us to run the ball a lot
