Turned out to be a disaster but at least they cut bait now. I probably would have after the bar incident and not traveling home with the team, but at this point they can get a head start on finding the next coach before other teams start canning guys at the end of the season
You can interview coaches 2 weeks earlier than usual now, which is great for us since we cut bait early and didn't wait until the off season. I don't see how he would have made it into a 2nd season regardless, but now we have that extra window.
And I agree, Khan should have cut bait after the bar incident. It was heading into the bye week as well and would have been the perfect time. But I get it, cutting bait like 4 weeks into the season is really early, even though all the signs were there.
A lot of college coaches use fear as their method of keep their kids in a straight line. The fear of the coach "ripping your scholarship away" at any given time. They simply can't play that bull shit in the NFL when they're dealing with grown ass men.
