I just wish Hawk could tackle without going backwards 3-4 yards, he's just always a second too slow, and it drives me nuts. He is one of those guys who waits instead of attacking and it is the 'safer' route but not always the better route.

Yeah, but it bothers me a lot less when he does that than when Clay shoots straight up field, completely abandoning contain assignments and lets the RB cut back for a huge gain. At least with Hawk we expect mediocre play.

hawk you get what you expect as well. he's going to let you get 5-7 yards, but he'll get you eventually. clay is of a different element this season: over-commits and abandons all concern for what he's doing and goes for the big play. terrible considering even if we can breach the pocket with 1 MAYBE 2 defenders, the odds of actually taking the ballcarrier down are so infinitesimal
