Upset vs chiefs

Possible, but not the way we've been recently playing.

Biggest thing to take away from that last game is that we could move the ball for the whole game. Normally we stall out HARD after halftime, but we put together some good drives in the 3rd. We just couldn't finish plays on defense...put ourselves in a great position to stop drives so many times then blew it on 3rd and long.

im not too sure we should bring back most of the D. they were doing good a few weeks ago but have been shit the last few games. i know the offense cant score much either and not all the D fault but they for sure arent playing as good as they were a while back.

I don't know who all's contract is up, but we need to bring back at least a few of these guys. Our LB core is pretty solid, and our D-line is good. I would like to bring back all 7 of those guys, plus Branch if his contract is on the line (he's been out all season and he improves our secondary a lot). On the CBs, I'd like to keep at least 1 vet.

Keep Charles imo.

He might be retiring. If we can keep him for cheap I'd do it; I think he still has a lot to teach our younger players. But if it's a toss-up between keeping him OR another player that might play for 5 years, I think I've gotta go with the young guy.

yea we can keep some of the LB and DL guys but idk about all..and we def need to continue to upgrade the DBs..Ross and Adams are terrible, Jenkins and Porter are just average so we could use some solid starters..and who the hell knows about Hayden, time will tell..Branch is good but if Woodson is out we need someone else. Chekwa is on and off so he can leave also idc..We need a GOOD pass rusher too, im tired of having players with 5 sacks lead the team every year. Whens the last time we even had someone in double digits?? Derrick Burgess?? Warren Sapp?? when the fuck was that like 8 years ago..? Id say we need 5 more GOOD starters on D, not some average players on 1 yr contracts who nobody else wants. O needs even more work..

We definitely need to replace most of our defense at some point, but incrementally at this point--we need to take care of the most critical deficits first, which means the secondary before all else. Our D-line is really strong against the rush. Let's keep that going. Our LBs need some improvement in the future, but worrying about them now is like trying to stop a nose bleed when you've lost a limb.

So yes, over the next 3-5 years I would really like to see improvements all over the defense. But for THIS offseason, the secondary and O-line need to be our focus (and adding another WR).
