Did ya'll hear when they were talking how the Falcons had to get there silent counts ready to go into monday night football against the saints, because they got a dose of it from the texans a few weeks back...
They still look like they are having issues with it..
That's a real shame the Texans lost their chance to get a first-round bye and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. That will be something to aim for next season with a healthy team in tact. If Schaub, Andre and Mario don't go down this year, who knows, this may have been a 14-2 team. The schedule was certainly favorable to do some big things if they had all their superstars on the field. But at least we'll get a preview of that electric Reliant Stadium crowd in a couple of weekends.
People say Reliant Stadium was at its loudest for that Falcons game a few weeks ago (resembling a small earthquake in Houston), but I still think that opening game against the Cowboys back in 2002 was a few notches louder. Super Bowl 38 between the Patriots and Panthers back in 2004 was also loud but not in the neighborhood of the games against the Falcons and Cowboys.
I can't wait to see them hosting that wild-card game against the Bengals, Jets, Titans or Raiders (whichever it turns out to be). First playoff game at home with the retractable roof closed. This has potential to be one of the loudest NFL games ever played in Houston.
I'm hoping the game is played on Saturday afternoon or even on Saturday Night (primetime TV) and not early Sunday morning which is usually the snooze game of the wild-card round. More people sleep through that early Sunday game. Depends on the NFL playoff scheduling. Houston will likely get shafted as usual -- getting the worst time slot of the four wild-card games.
