Yep. Goff may not be the starter you want but he's a decent bridge guy. They can easily build a solid squad in 2-3 years and if Goff is just mediocre draft a QB. By that time Rodgers will probably be on the decline and I really think the NFC north door will be wide open for any team.

I think this move is infinitely less risky for the lions. They weren't going anywhere anyway. Why waste Stafford's career just to go 6-10 again when you know you'll be shitty at least you can have some top pics to rebuild.

kinda interesting feeling to see a true rebuild. Seems like in prior times when Lions should have rebuilt--they've also at the same time made "win now" moves.


This rebuild feels different. Letting Golladay walk is bittersweet.
