Listening to BB's appearance on DHK (weei), when he (belichick) was asked about if he met with goodell recently (last week) he responded after a chuckle: "that's absolutely not true". Said last time he saw goodell was before the Oakland game in Mexico City. When he (belichick) asked if he was "good friends" with goodell, belichick ultimately says "i don't know what that means" lol. Pretty much implied his relationship with Goodell is professional only/small talk etc.

I have a feeling a few of these "patriots staffers" have been feeding wickersham false info. I don't see the motive for belichick lying about meeting with goodell? Idk. Unless he thinks a relationship with goodell would be viewed in a negative light by fans? Idk. NFL front office denied the meeting as well i believe.

To be clear, I'm not trying to defend the wickerSham or say that BB is lying. But, purely for the sake of argument IF he was lying...

His motivation for lying would be to deflect questions about and discredit the wickerSham.

The other question, obviously, is what would the motivation be for the league office to deny the meeting. That I do not have even a speculative answer to.

Who would you prefer to face in the AFCCG? Reports are the Antonio Brown is healthy, so I'd rather face Jacksonville. Warm weather team coming up north. If they make it there, they would have already had a great season and just happy to be there.

Who would you prefer to face in the Super Bowl? For me, Eagles, Falcons, Saints, Vikings in that order

But I think it will be Steelers and Saints.

Pitt.

NE ALWAYS has massive amounts of trouble against a team with a front four strong enough to pressure the QB without needing blitz help. It's always been a problem, it's why we lost to the Giants twice, it's why we struggled so much against Denver, and it's the reason I'd rather go offense v offense and hope for the best against Pitt. History is on our side with Pitt, Jacksonville is not the best team by any means left in the playoffs, they're actually a bottom 4 team, but they have imo, the best chance of shitting on NE.

I agree with all of that. I guess it's a just a matter of weighing that against every other factor.

I get where you're coming from of course. If you look at the match-up, the weapons, Brown's impact on every game etc... Pitt looks absolutely fucking terrifying, but as an avid NE fan, I know that we've always found a way to eliminate Brown from games, or at least minimize his impact. We beat them in their own house this year, I'm not scared of them if they're coming into our home. Jacksonville is an unknown, and they have a lot of things that scare me. Yes, their offense can be atrocious, and probably will be, but our defense is so bad that it made even Jay Cutler look pro a few weeks ago. There is nothing certain in football, we may not even beat the Titans. We should... there's really no fucking way they should beat us, but any given Sunday.

Just in case you've forgotten HOW broken NE is against PItt.

Brady is 8 and 2 against Pittsburgh regular season. Both loses were on the road.
Brady is 3 and 0 against Pittsburgh in the playoffs
Brady has a 7.5 : 1 INT Ratio against Pittsburgh, and he has never thrown an INT in the playoffs.
Brady has a 68.97% Completion rate against Pittsburgh regular season, but fucking 71.60% in the playoffs
Every single playoff game vs Pittsburgh has been won by 10 or more points, and each of the three games, has been won by more points than the previous game. 10/14/19

Anything can happen, but BB and Brady make Pittsburgh their baby back bitch.
