I think that bellicheck being friends with shanahan and sending jimmy there to help his boy is way more realistic then him shipping jimmy to SF so he couldn’t sign with an afc east team. That’s just the dumbest shit I’ve heard in a hot minute.

The article supports both bolded statements. They are not mutually exclusive.

I’m talking about this

“According to Thomas, the Browns' awfulness adversely affected the Patriots, causing them to sell low on their next franchise quarterback. That takes suckiness to an entirely new level.”

Tell me if you’ve ever heard logic this dumb

Agree

Hue is a horrible coach and the offense is way too complicated (not in a good way) for his 21 year old qb

But yes shanahan is a good OC and will probably make a decent coach

Let’s see what Jimmy does against real teams, not the rams backups and the bears, and then we can praise him some more. Jags game impressed me tho

But to insinuate that they didn’t trade him to Cleveland, because they didn’t want him to become a FA and sign with an AFC East team might be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read. Absolutely atrocious, ignorant, front runner logic spoken like a Boston fan who knows nothing about football.

lol. You know that's not my idea right? sharing things here I read online.

I don't believe everything I read with this whole story, not everything adds up yet, we may not truly know all the behind the scenes stuff for a long time (after BB and Kraft are gone from football) if ever.

We'll never know. BB doesn't talk, and no one else probably knows all the details of why exactly everything happened the way it did.

yup, more than likely, unless Belichick or Kraft like writes a "tell everything" type book after they've moved on from the organization. I think some close to Kraft and BB may know bits of details (there's rumors BB is one of the leakers lol), but the only two people that know the entire situation are Kraft and Belichick. I bet Brady doesn't even know everything.

You are right that that quote is a misrepresentation. Even if there is truth to the claim that BB made a trade he thought would keep Jimmy in the NFC, then the above quote is still reaching for a conclusion that isn't exactly supported by the facts.

I didn’t say it was you, it was some try hard carpet bagger who wanted his article published. And the fan base will eat it up because it fits their narrative.

But what I can tell you is based on recent history, and the way New England has dealt in the past, no one in their right mind would believe they would take a 2nd rounder over a top 5 draft pick and actually believe that to be the smarter move for their organization

Would you take a 1 dollar bill over 8 quarters because it’s more convenient?

And DeShoneKizer69 was only responding to the quote and it's author, not to you personally.

There will be at least 3 potential franchise QBs left in the draft where New England would have drafted at #4, as well as some very good DEs, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and some stud o lineman as well

Could have drafted a qb to sit until whenever Brady retires, hell they probably could’ve traded dumbass clevelNd the pick back for jimmy again (not really, but hopefully you get my point)

There’s just no defending that dumbass logic
