edit: maybe he meant he'll be taking most of the rookie minicamp reps at WR to try and get him up to speed in that area faster.



He will obviously get carries, but Urban said all his reps will be at WR in rookie camp lol

He said it at the press conference this morning I know, but he meant it for rookie camp, not fully going forward. He said on the night that they drafted him he'll be cross trained at RB and WR.

We only have 18 players at rookie minicamp and considering the rules of practice now in the NFL, there's very little, if any contact. Makes sense to let him work on routes over taking hand offs vs air in what's basically 7 on 7.

Also with the lack of guys at rookie camp, they need bodies to catch passes/run routes.

NFL is fining San Francisco, Jacksonville and Dallas for OTA violations, per source.

49ers were fined $100,000 and Kyle Shanahan $50,000.

Jaguars were fined $200,000 and Urban Meyer $100,000.

Cowboys were fined $100,000 and Mike McCarthy $50,000.

Per sources.

Others penalties:

*NFL Mgmt Council ordered 49ers to cancel the final week of OTAs last month.
*Cowboys were ordered to forfeit one OTA practice during first week of the 2022 offseason.
*Jaguars were ordered to forfeit two OTA practices during the first week of the 2022 offseason

Jaguars response to NFL’s $200k fine that stems from June 1 practice, specifically 11-on-11 contact between DBs and WRs: “The Jaguars are vigilant about practicing within the CBA rules and will re-emphasize offseason training rules as they relate to contact.”
