let’s just roll with the theme from the last few pages of “any given sunday” haha

whole lot of jacksonville analysis going on, but we need to get through the titans first. I think mariota will be an issue at times. someone said he’s gonna run fornfirst downs on 3rd & 10s and i can already see that, it’s gonna be so bad lol. i think the key to the game will be our running backs (lewis/white) in the receiving game. i’m not going to count on cooks this time around to open up playaction, and i don’t think gronk will have a crazy game, just average. it’s going to come down to turnovers, tennessee red zone efficiency and the pats oline imo

Yup, I said this a few pages ago lol (bold). Dion lewis has been borderline unstoppable these last few weeks hope he continues his high level of play.

Oh yeah for sure man. The discussion kind of got away from me when I mentioned the titans >_>

Honestly I think the most important is getting pressure from the dline

Henry is a grown ass man on that field

He's insanely strong

We held 9 teams to 10 points or less this season, not counting this playoff game.

It's really getting old hearing the excuse that the other team didn't play up to their level vs us, when our Defense has consistently shut teams down all season long. It hasn't just been a week here, or there. This Defense has been great for the majority of the year, but some of you still give them no credit. Sure other teams have bad games and it's just not their day, but that's not the case here. You don't do what this Defense has done this year by having other teams only playing poorly consistently.

Our worst games on Defense this season have come from QBs who have mobility.

Yup the Steelers passed us in sacks in the final week of the regular season. They got 6 sacks against the Browns and beat us by 1 (56 vs 55).

Steelers are obviously way better than the Bills, but I'm more confident in this team going against a non mobile QB. This pass rush should absolutely be able to get after Big Ben again, just like we did in week 5. He's hard to bring down, but they don't have to worry about him bootlegging out of the pocket etc.

What excuse? Pitt did in fact play like shit that game, I'm not sure how that's an excuse. Pitt could play like shit again, we won't know until next week. You're the only person I know who can be talking to someone who says something like "ya, your team has a great chance of winning (and means it)" when they're 8 point underdogs, and still complain that his team isn't getting enough credit.

The Jags do have a great defense, and I've already made it abundantly clear that I'd rather not play them, because I think they've got the best chance of anyone left in the AFC with beating NE. And I know you're sick of hearing this too, but it's the truth, and it needs to be said. Jacksonville just hasn't played that many great teams throughout the year, and of the small sample size we got to see, they've been hit or miss. They shut down Baltimore/Pittsburgh, but then get shredded by Tennessee and SF. You guys went .500 against teams with a winning record, and the defense had as many alright performances as it did outstanding ones against great teams. The group is talented, I'm not trying to discredit them at all, but they're not by any means unbeatable, or even close to it. If Pittsburgh is on, like ON, they're going to have a hell of a time keeping the Bs in check, anyone would and does when they run into Pitt on a roll. I hope Bortles isn't the problem, I hope he comes out and plays like a champ and we get an entertaining game. Either way though, congrats on your win, I know that today had to have been a huge day for you, and I am legitimately happy for you and the rest of the Jacksonville fans who finally got a win after a decade.

The excuse is exactly what you just said, "Pitt did in fact play like shit that game"... So it's only because Pitt played like shit and had nothing to do with our Defense? It's always because the other team played like shit, not because of anything our team did? I already know your answer, because that's how you feel and you aren't going to change your opinion. That's fine, but I think you're wrong and the game tape shows it. Our Defense out played their Offense that day. Our team was simply better than they were on that day. They had zero answer for our Rushing attack and they couldn't do much of anything against our Defense. Running or passing. Brown had 10 for 160 but it didn't translate.

There hasn't been a single team that has shredded us this season. The tacks game that you think shredded us happened in week 2 and was a 9-6 game mid way through the 3rd quarter before our Offense committed 6 straight penalty killing drives. The Ravens and Steelers game came after that game.

In the 49ers game, they took us by storm early, but our Offense battled back before the Defense collapsed with 3 huge penalties on the same drive that gave them 40 free yards and an easy TD. It was a 19-23 game before our Defense choked that drive/game away, which turned it into a 19-30 score.

If we haven't played any good teams this season, neither has the Steelers, or the Pats, so why even bring that up? We're either all playing awful teams, or none of us are..

No team is unbeatable, it's the NFL lol. Any team can win, or lose on any given Sunday. That's why this game is so great.

I'm with you there, but NE has still been pissing me off with how inconsistent they've been. Even a team like them might be able to beat us.

even a team like them?

show some respect

so let me get this straight, you think a team that's used to playing in warm weather led by a QB who jut threw his first touchdown yesterday will somehow have a better chance of beating us than a team that's used to cold weather led by a HoF QB that should've beat us in the regular season? interesting. I couldn't disagree more.

Is this the tom coughlin effect or something?
😂

Last year, the mighty Osweiler-led Texans came to Foxborough... now the impressive Tennessee Titans make their way to Gillette Stadium. A lot of big-time playoff games in recent memory and this one is no different. Good luck rolf

Flopps and VivaciousBamby are telling me Titans are no joke though and a win is not guaranteed.
