in hindsight that was never going to work.
just looking at the coaches tells me campbell is going to be more inspirational as a leader. patricia prolly gained 100 pounds in 2 and a half years, and he wasn't small when we hired him.
campbell is shredded, former player, high energy. seems like they feel like he will be a great person to move the team culture in the direction we want it to go, which honestly has probably been the primary problem with us historically.
the best culture we had as an organization recently was in the caldwell era, and that was by far our most successful. hopefully campbell can move the needle in that department.
Yeah no doubt, the belichik coaching tree has produced so many duds on top of all that, patricia seems like he's is just another one who cant live up to the hype.
Expectations are obviously tempered as the roster needs alot of help, but having former players run the team seems like it could work. These guys need a kick in the ass motivationaly and it seems thats Campbells wheel house.
Also with Campbell being a former TE im curious how he'll work with Hockenson and expand his role in the offense. I've always loved the TE position, as a kid Tony Gonzales was probably my 2nd favorite player behind Barry. I thought Hockenson made great steps this year and i hope they can build on it and give us a legit weapon to throw to especially if golladay doesnt return.
