what a weird day in football yesterday was... packers come back from 18 down. bears somehow beat the niners in the 4th. browns over saints?? bengals dominate the falcons?? seattle already losing a game?? buffalo crushing miami?? bob's ankle is jacked and cousins carries washington to a dominant win?? weird weird weird.
our defense showed some flashes yesterday:
-pass coverage looked not bad. tramon looks good so far this year.
-don't like how we give every team a 5 yard buffer underneath. any team could pick us apart with 7-8 yard passes all day long.
-despite not getting to geno that much, our pressure looked decent. still need to work on the discipline to keep contain on mobile qbs though. we've worked on addressing this problem for like 3 years and still have issues with it.
offensively:
-arod can just cut a defense to pieces sometimes. it's a thing to behold. so... why do we have a tendency to start so flat?
-good d-lines or not, lacy is looking slow this year.
-do we have any tight ends on this team? i mean the roster says we do, but i haven't seen them.
-sherrod has had moments of terrible play, but he is improving. he will be good depth and a serviceable starter for now if he has to. linsley is doing fine for a rookie center and probably has the job for good now. tretter will be good depth. gat dang, if we could have a health bakh, lang, linsley, sitton, bulaga with barclay, sherrod, tretter for depth?
