Malcolm Mitchell returned to practice for the first time since week 1. They can activate him any time in the next 21 days if they want to use him.

I believe MM and Vincent Valentine are the only eligible players on IR that can return.

We need Mitchell BAD tbh.

He was clicking with Brady in SB crunchtime and made some great plays for us.

Could be awesome to have back for playoffs

he could play this sunday apparently.

...

With that being said, earlier in the week it appeared the Patriots were expecting Mitchell to play Sunday.

On Wednesday, NBC Sports Boston's Mike Giardi said the Patriots will "take it day-by-day" with him, but believe he "has real chance" to make his season debut on Sunday.

New England will host the Jets Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

I would take a healthy and current Dorsett/Britt over a rusty MM, although given Hogans circumstances, it would be nice to have more familiar depth in MM in january.

There's a lot of depth, though. We can basically consider Gronk a WR in terms of his pass threat.

I'm excited to see Harrison setting the edge on 3rd downs. I feel like that's gonna be his main use.

Other than that, I'm pretty iffy about Gostkowski as of late

gonna have to go back on what i said here, idk what i was thinking. i think if MM can play this week vs the jets, he should. i don't expect much from him, but at least he has chemistry with brady and knows the playbook more than Britt could possibly

I just don't see how we have such problems at WR. I knew losing Edelman would hurt but we really are loaded with raw talent at that position. Cooks and Brady haven't been on the same page in a while.

Praise allah for gronk/rbs

Dion lewis has been an effing stud this year. Also burkhead is a stud in the redzone.

Literally our entire RB corps has done well with their carries

It's so cool to watch gillislee play well one week, then lewis get the nod the next, etc.

It makes it nearly impossible for teams to gameplan for our RBs.

If only we can start making some more downfield plays (IM LOOKIN AT YOU COOKS) then we have a solid squad

e/ but yeah Lewis has been insane

McDaniels still saving the good stuff for playoffs. Mostly using Lewis as a rusher
Come playoffs, going to see a lot Lewis(receiving)+White in the backfield I assume
Good luck covering them both in the passing game with Gronk going down the middle

I had a feeling Dion Lewis was near the top on yards per rushing attempt and I was right, 5.2 Y/A, second in the league amongst RBs (3rd if you count Cam Newton lel), only behind Alvin Kamara of the Saints. 5.2 Y/a is better than guys ike Kareem Hunt and Todd Gurley. Lewis is a STUD. if it weren't for our crowded backfield I'd have no doubt he'd be a 1k yard + rusher.
