I feel like the jags entire redzone offense is "minshew scramble for 8 seconds until someone gets open". Its like backyard football, no strategy at all

He holds onto the ball way too long and misses/can't find the open guys.

He has flashes of brilliance here and there, but it's starting to get more and more obvious that he just doesn't have the NFL arm strength to make the big time throws.

He's basically Fitzpatrick and I think that's his ceiling. Which isn't really a knock on him. Perfect back up who will make some nice $$$ as he bounces around the league for the next 10-15 years.

Yea I feel like he doesn't throw his receivers open ever. There's not much anticipation; only throws when a guy seems obviously open.

And his accuracy has been pretty poor this year.

He typically under throws his receivers on deeper throws. They often have to wait on the ball, when if they're hit in stride, it's an easy walk in TD. This has happened quite a bit this season. Couple of those turned into INTs because the ball took so long to get there.

His accuracy has been pretty bad as of late. I don't know if he's battling a shoulder injury or what, but something is wrong. It's like he has lost all his confidence and can't hit the broad side of a barn. Maybe it's both. You can really start seeing it in the receivers body language on the field. You can tell they're starting to get fed up. They're open constantly, Minshew just continue to miss them, or just can't find them.

His lack of arm strength makes him hold the ball too long. Him knowing he can't fit the ball into a tight window and doesn't want to risk an INT. He often has to put a lot of air under his throws, to try and mask the lack of arm strength, but that just gives the defender an extra second to try and make a play.

If we're picking in the top 3 (we'd pick 3rd if the draft was tomorrow, behind Jets and Giants), it's really starting to look like a QB has to be in the discussion.

Seven games into the season, the Cowboys have led on 4.1% (21 of 509) of their offensive snaps. Only the Jaguars (3.9%) are worse.

Imagine trading away Harrison to the Browns, so you could start Jones in his place.... :bonk:

John Shipley@_John_Shipley·5h

PFF grades are obviously just one thing to look at and are no sure thing but worth noting this about their current safety grades (min 100 snaps) when it comes to #Jaguars

Ronnie Harrison: 2/90
Jarrod Wilson: 6/90
Andrew Wingard: 14/90
Brandon Watson: 66/90
Josh Jones: 68/90

How the fuck is Jones still starting? Not another warm body available? Sorry, Eric :(
