While I think a lot of the criticism you received is mostly due to the Ewok welcher tag fiasco, which is something you could not wholly control, the bolded statement is absolutely incorrect.

Ewok did not put you in a tough spot; YOU put YOURSELF in a tough spot by betting with forum gold you did not have. Deflecting responsibility of this mistake onto Ewok is a petty move on your part.
