Darren Mccfadden, Leonard fornuette, they compared Joe Mixon to AP for some reason, saqoun, todd gurley… they said Zeke is the next AP not comparing them as the same but as the next great thing

There are running backs, and then there are running backs that can embarrass linebackers in coverage and run routes - it's really a different position. Your McCaffreys, your Ekelers, Your Kamaras.

Christian McCaffrey was a 1st round pick, I guess he should have gone in the 2nd that year though, they definitely reached.

Ekeler was an UDFA and Kamara was a 3rd round pick.

That Panthers team got worse every season after drafting McCaffrey though. He didn't really make them any better. Their best year was his rookie season (2017) and he split time with Jonathan Stewart. They went 11-5.

7-9 in 2018 when CMC took over as the main RB.

5-11 in 2019.

5-11 in 2020.

5-12 in 2021.

And they were 1-5 when they shipped him off in 2022. Finished the season 6-5 without him.

Granted he only played 3 games in 2020, but they were 0-3 in those games. Only 7 games in 2021 and were 4-3 in those games.

Panthers being shit isn't McCaffagoat's fault, if they had taken a cornerback instead it wasn't going to make or break the team lol

It certainly is part of his fault, hes on that team and playing isn't he? Mahomes, Lattimore and Watson all went a couple picks after him and they all would have been a far better pick. They took two CBs back to back in the 2nd and 3rd round the very next year, so don't tell me CB wasn't a need. Newton was done with the Panthers a season after they took CMC.

Point is, you get what 4, 5, maybe 6 meaningful years out of a RB? If you're drafting high, you're a bad team in most cases. You don't take a RB high and waste those years on a team that's just going to win 4-6 games every season, because they stink as a whole and a top pick on a RB isn't going to change that.

RBs are one of the last pieces of the puzzle. If you're going to take a RB high, it should be a situation like the Eagles' for example. That team is stacked on Offense and ready to win now. You add Bijan and now that Offense gets put over the top and every one of his carries are meaningful because hes on a good team.

Now I doubt the Eagles would make the move because it goes against what they believe in when drafting, but man would that Offense be fun to watch.

I think he's going to the Eagles

I agree in most cases it's better to wait for RBs. Exceptional players are worthy of exception, this guy is clearly special. His stats on paper are freakish. You can see how he moves when you watch film and combine workouts he's just different.

Lolllll maybe Gurley, but no 1 else. You listen to much ESPN and garbage.

Literally what they said lol…. Most of the draft analyst outside of espn like PFF/ TDN / walterfootball

Curious who you listen to

/e also love that you said I’ve been listening to too much ESPN yet all of these players were drafted top 10 ya ESPN fueled their draft stock

They'd have to take him at 10, because he wont be there at the end of the 1st. It goes against their beliefs of building it through the trenches though.

He's a great talent no doubt about it, he just plays a devalued position in today's NFL. Not his fault and it kinda sucks for guys like him, but it's just the reality of today's game.
