i dont rly care who we hire. ill just pretend like whoever we do hire is the guy i wanted all along, then turn on him when he's fired.

i hope we spend alot of money and draft picks on defensive players with 2 hands.

Why are you so obsessed with getting a coach who quit on his team... I think Patricia would fit well, a young, defensive minded coach

Also, power run is dead except in the case of elite running backs, spread offense is how you score points

No lol just no...every team in the NFL with success usually can run the ball effectively. Eli does not do well throwing 35 times and our running backs do not do well doing delay handoffs out of the gun...this organization is built for what they were in 07 and '11...no spread those years...and we don't need it now. Don't have the fucking personnel.

Most any successful team nowadays throws the ball 35+times a game, and you have a top 12 qb in this league with maybe the best wr so I don't know why you don't want him throwing the ball.

If you want to run the ball more often/more successfully, you need 2 things this offseason: a better rb and a better defense that doesn't suck so bad you have to score every possession.

And we'd do best to run out of the spread, more zone runs and trap plays. The best teams in the league (Denver, Seattle, Carolina) all have similar philosophies. Fullback is a dead position and running out of the I formation is nonsensical.

While Eli is a top 8-5 QB in the league, he's also not the type that can wing the ball around a ridiculous amount.. 25-30 is where he should be at. Occasionally throwing a ton in a single game is fine because he can handle it but the less amount of throws you get with him, the less amount of dumb decisions. Because he makes 2-3 per game at least.

We also do not need a better rb...our backs are fine, it's the fucking scheme that McAdoo runs. It's a fucking gimick bullshit run game.... The offensive line gets little to no steam and everyone wonders why we can't run the ball.... It worked towards the end because he finally started to change things up a little bit and they realized you can't give 3 carries to this guy, 2 to that guy, 1 to the other guy, 2 to another then go back. Gotta ride the hot hand and it was Jennings and that's what they did. We have 3 talented backs and Shane Vereen.. Start using them properly and start running the ball properly and that will all change.

As far as defense goes, they have a shit ton of cap space this offseason and that is sure to be addressed. Guys like Vernon, Wilkerson, Irvin and a few of the free safeties out on the market should be heavily targeted along with the draft.

That's just dumb..how many times did you see a tight end in the backfield for the Giants this year? A fullback is a must in the NFL.. And if you seriously think it was personnel that was the problem for our run game, you've got problems of your own. Watch our games the first 3 quarters of the season. It's the scheme, not the players. We had a successful passing attack yet couldn't run the ball when we have some solid run blockers on the line. That says a lot. Our line never got a chance to attack.

Running out of shotgun changes nothing for the offensive line, the only difference is the running back gets slightly less time to scan for holes, have you ever played football? The lack of time is counteracted by the threat of the the pass and the lower amount of guys in the box

Also, any good rushing attack, (eg. Vikings) typically go from singleback.

I played a lot more football than you I can guarantee that.. and I was a spread quarterback. It's a system that works in high school and college but not so much in the NFL. For our team, it is not right. Eli is built for the power run and play action game. This whole fucking team is... We need to control the clock a whole lot better and running the ball will do that.

And it changes everything... Especially with the offense we ran and how often we passed the ball. They couldn't get off the ball and were fucking terrible in run blocking. That's because they didn't give it a chance until late in the year when it didn't matter.

The only person that should be questioned whether they ever fucking played is you here.... You want these college coaches and you want to run the spread and it just seems you're a popularity whore.. Yes the game has been changing, but not for the better. This team needs to get back to the roots of football, where they've been successful. They've won all four of their Super Bowls that way, not with the fucking spread.

All 4 super bowls are also in the past, and like I said, the best teams operate primarily out of the shotgun. Tell me the last time I team was great operating primarily from under center with a fullback and a tight end. It doesnt happen, the game is changing towards spreading the field out and we need to change with it. Obviously, Eli isn't the read option quarterback a lot of teams have, but an offense similar to New Orleans or Denver where they operate primarily out of the shotgun and still maintain decent run games. Our offense should revolve around Eli, and its much easier on any quarterback from shotgun. Its nonsensical to run a power run scheme and take away options from one of the best quarterbacks in the league, when we should be doing the opposite.

Lovie Smith just got fired, as much as I'd love an established coach he didnt do much with the talent he had on the bucs, especially defensively
