Most any successful team nowadays throws the ball 35+times a game, and you have a top 12 qb in this league with maybe the best wr so I don't know why you don't want him throwing the ball.
If you want to run the ball more often/more successfully, you need 2 things this offseason: a better rb and a better defense that doesn't suck so bad you have to score every possession.
While Eli is a top 8-5 QB in the league, he's also not the type that can wing the ball around a ridiculous amount.. 25-30 is where he should be at. Occasionally throwing a ton in a single game is fine because he can handle it but the less amount of throws you get with him, the less amount of dumb decisions. Because he makes 2-3 per game at least.
We also do not need a better rb...our backs are fine, it's the fucking scheme that McAdoo runs. It's a fucking gimick bullshit run game.... The offensive line gets little to no steam and everyone wonders why we can't run the ball.... It worked towards the end because he finally started to change things up a little bit and they realized you can't give 3 carries to this guy, 2 to that guy, 1 to the other guy, 2 to another then go back. Gotta ride the hot hand and it was Jennings and that's what they did. We have 3 talented backs and Shane Vereen.. Start using them properly and start running the ball properly and that will all change.
As far as defense goes, they have a shit ton of cap space this offseason and that is sure to be addressed. Guys like Vernon, Wilkerson, Irvin and a few of the free safeties out on the market should be heavily targeted along with the draft.

And we'd do best to run out of the spread, more zone runs and trap plays. The best teams in the league (Denver, Seattle, Carolina) all have similar philosophies. Fullback is a dead position and running out of the I formation is nonsensical.
That's just dumb..how many times did you see a tight end in the backfield for the Giants this year? A fullback is a must in the NFL.. And if you seriously think it was personnel that was the problem for our run game, you've got problems of your own. Watch our games the first 3 quarters of the season. It's the scheme, not the players. We had a successful passing attack yet couldn't run the ball when we have some solid run blockers on the line. That says a lot. Our line never got a chance to attack.
